Outside of being a doula and lover of birth, I am a wife, home birther, and boy mum deep in her motherhood era.

In my spare time, you can find me making sourdough, doing CrossFit, enjoying my bookclubs’ book of the month and on weekends I love watching a game or two of footy with my fam.

As a doula, woman, and mother I’m wildly passionate about physiological birth and walking with women and their families in one of the most beautiful times of their lives.

I have firsthand experienced the excitement, nerves, and wonders of being pregnant and giving birth, and know that it’s only natural to want to feel supported as you navigate these experiences.

I believe that all women and their families deserve to be supported and that birth is a normal, physiological process. I love to support women who want to birth unmedicated, without intervention and physiologically.

I started Journey to Postpartum with a passion for educating others about birth and this has expanded to virtually and physically walking with women throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum through tailored support, care, and guidance.

Why did I become a Doula?

My first son was born in June 2021, but if you asked me 18 months before he was born if I had planned on having kids, my answer would have been no! I had so much fear and anxiety around giving birth that I had almost written it off completely until I learned that birth did not have to be traumatic, medicated, and a burden. Instead, it could be empowering, positive and beautiful.

My newfound understanding of birth helped me unpack, work through, and overcome my fear of birth, channeling a new feeling of excitement to birth.

Unlearning what I knew about ‘birth’ and experiencing pregnancy, birth, and postpartum for myself grew my passion for being a doula and being with them throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
